Family portrait photography doesn’t come much easier than this. Beautiful country side, the cutest little girls in funky little outfits, and a gorgeous (and ever so helpful) Mum…throw in a cameo appearance from a happy, hungry horse and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a kid’s lifestyle shoot.
The scene for our shoot was the farm buildings of Luckings Estate, near Beaconsfield, and it was a little nostalgic being back here as its where I did a significant amount of my training as a Wedding Photographer with The Trained Eye…happy days!
Within the grounds you’ve got a lovely, little cottage, a play house (within which the farm dog appears to have taken up residence), perfectly weathered barns and outbuildings, not to mention the greenest fields grazed by a rather handsome horse with a love for the lens! As a kid’s photographer I was in my element, and Darcy and her big sister Amelia were equally enamoured by their outdoor playground for the afternoon making it a really fun portrait shoot for everyone. Darcy was just too cute, tenderly feeding stones to her little toy cat, and Amelia…well, what a natural in front of the camera…I love ALL of the shots of her ‘just chilling’ in the barn…there were just too many to choose from….when that’s the hardest part of your job, you know you’re on to a good thing – is this really what they call work? I feel guilty…well OK, not that much really!
