MEET NADINE
NVB – that’s me!
H i, I’m Nadine van Biljon (She/Her). My difficult to pronounce surname is courtesy of my lovely South African husband, so many people simply call me NVB.
We met on a big boat whilst I was traveling around the world on my own, traumatizing my mother (that’s how she sees it) by undertaking various adrenaline-fuelled activities and experiencing some beautifully epic places.
One of those was New Zealand and that’s how the rest of our lives together began…

W e now live a slightly less frantic life outside London, in leafy Surrey, near Richmond upon Thames, with our two perfectly pesky daughters who share our love for the sun, sea, sand and…safari!
While I’m perfectly happy camping in the wilderness with hair that’s seen better days, I’m also a bit of a magpie, attracted to sparkly, shiny things. If there’s a chandelier to be found at your wedding you’ll most likely find me there, as the evening unfolds, loitering with intent to create something extra special.
Going over and above for the people who put their faith in me, to document their story with passion and creativity is what I’m all about. I strive to produce photography that inspires and entertains, and moves people to experience heartfelt emotion.
I’m delighted to have been awarded Photographer of the Year 2018 by the Masters of Wedding Photography for UK & Ireland, and to be included in The 100 Best Wedding Photogaphers in the World 2018, an achievement I could have only dreamed of when I first started out.
I’m honoured to have had my work featured in Brides and on blogs like Smashing the Glass, Love My Dress, FlyAway Bride, and English Wedding and to have had my work recognised by numerous International Photography Award.
Working for and with other photographers constantly inspires me, whether its through my public speaking engagements, mentoring or group education.
I’m also an ambassador for Nine Dots, a worldwide community dedicated to helping photographers to “create your own awesome” so they can be their very best for their clients.
Yet, by far and away the part I love most is immersing myself in your wedding day. I want you to be feel relaxed, uninhibited, totally at ease with your friends and family and caught up with just loving each other. You may see me discreetly wiping a tear during your ceremony, or heading right into the action on the dance floor when the tunes come. I care deeply that I make a positive contribution to your big day and that the photographs I share with you are beyond your highest expectations.
