Whatever size, shape or style of your wedding I want to create something a little magical for you. As well as capturing the key moments you’ll expect, you’ll also find me in unusual places, looking for something out of the ordinary so that the full collection of images is as unique and individual as you are. Most of the time you won’t even notice I’m there but I’m always on hand to lend some gentle guidance where it might be needed. HOW IT WORKS

BEFORE THE DAY

An engagement shoot is the perfect chance for us to get to really get to know each before the big day and shake off any anxiety you may feel about being in front of the camera. You’ll end up with some wonderful images of the two of you in your loved-upness, but the best thing is that come the wedding day you’ll be so used to me and my camera that you’ll barely even notice us!

A little nearer the day we’ll have a chat to cover the finer details and any special requests you may have. I may be able to offer some useful tips to make the day go smoother, but we’ll go over everything we need to make sure we capture your story the way we want to.

ON THE DAY

GETTING READY

GETTING READY

I’ll arrive early to snap you in your rollers, catch the first champagne cork as it pops, the nervous excitement as you step into your dress (for real this time) and the tearful moments as those closest to you first see you as a bride. Surrounded by your nearest and dearest, you’ll probably experience the full spectrum of emotions, which makes this one of my favourite parts of the day.

COVERING EVERY ANGLE

While everyone’s busy getting ready there is often a lot of boy banter, and a few cheeky pints being consumed at the bar while everyone fathoms out how to affix the buttonholes. Its entirely optional, but if we add a second shooter to the package we can capture both sides of the story in full, and also provide alternative angles throughout the rest of the day.

PRECIOUS ALONE TIME

Amidst the whirlwind of activity, we’ll plan some precious time out for you to saviour your first moments alone as a married couple. For your couple portraits, I’ll have scouted out some suitably photogenic spots and found some good light where you can ‘just be’ together. With as little or as much guidance as you want from me, we’ll create some stunning images of the two of you that I really hope will bring that feeling flooding back each time you look at them.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

Attention to detail is kind of my thing. I’ll capture all the details you've so carefully arranged but I'll also be looking for them in action; like the detail of your lace dress while your mother is buttoning you into it, or your shiny new wedding bands clinking against your champagne glass. Seeing them being put to use gives them context and a clear role in the story. I’ll also be looking for impromptu little details that you might otherwise miss in the blink of an eye.

DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT

I’ve been known to shake my tail-feather with the guests on the dancefloor and its the perfect vantage point for some pretty epic party shots. Its where the Sambuccas are downed, the dance-offs are battled out and the blue-steels are pouted - standing on the sidelines is not the place to be – right in amongst it is – and that’s where you will find me!

NIGHT TIME MAGIC

I don’t set any specific time limits to my coverage – you’ve got me as long as you need me, and as I’m not rushing off after the first dance, it means we can take some time to indulge in a creative night portrait or two. Something a bit different, maybe a masterpiece you might like to frame on the wall, if you feel so inclined. Either way, it will be fun and a perfect shot to close out the story.

RELIVING THE MAGIC

There are few things I’m old fashioned about, but printing images in absolutely one of them. While I do offer a simple digital only package there’s no substitute for a beautifully curated wedding album to help relive the story and share it with future generations. I know from my own wedding that just about all my memories are prompted by the images in my wedding album. I’ve looked only once at the hundreds of images on the DVD I received at the time…I don’t even have a DVD drive anywhere remotely convenient now, let alone in 25 years time!
