Its been a crazy busy summer of weddings so there’s not been a lot of time for blogging lately, but thought I would share this epic wedding from back in July on what was probably one of the hottest days of the year! Lorraine and Sean’s wedding was BIG in every way.
It was BIG in the physical sense: 260 guests, 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, a stretch Hummer to transport them all, a service at the most enormous Union Chapel in Islington followed by a reception at The Decorium which is one pretty big venue catering for large wedding parties.
It was also BIG in the emotional sense: Lorraine just about holding it together as she puts her beautiful lace dress on, the tender exchanges with her father as they ride to the church, the passionate service given by her brother the reverend, and the tears they shed as the couple exchange their vows.
And it was HUGE in the fun sense! I loved how they made their entrance into the room shimmying between the tables, dancing to the beats of the African drummers, the BIGGEST first dance I’ve ever seen with so many friends and family joining them on the dance floor, which is where they stayed..with BIG smiles on their faces…all night!
Enjoy this selection of images – in keeping with the theme the collection is just too BIG to do it justice here! A special thanks to Oleesha from Precious Red Photography for shooting this wedding with me – I couldn’t have done it without you!
